Local knowledge

A local team that knows every town

Worthing (BN11, BN12, BN13, BN14)

Worthing is where A Star started and where our vans come back to every evening. Jordan set the business up here, the office is here, and a large share of our work is still within a few miles of the pier. That matters when you need something cleared: we know the one-way streets around the town centre, the tight turning circles in the roads behind the seafront, which Goring avenues have wide verges and which Broadwater terraces have no front parking at all.

A Star Waste Management provided a prompt and straightforward service from start to finish. Communication was clear, collection was arranged at a convenient time, and the waste was removed efficiently with no mess left behind. Polite, professional, and easy to deal with.

Lancing (BN15)

Lancing sits right next door to our Worthing base, so for us it is effectively a local job. We are in and out of BN15 most weeks, clearing bungalows in South Lancing, gardens backing onto the Downs in North Lancing, and business units on the industrial estates between the railway and the coast road.

Waste clearance in Lancing →

Shoreham-by-Sea (BN43)

Shoreham-by-Sea is a working harbour town with a lot of variety packed into a small area. In a single week we might clear a garage on Buckingham Park, a flat in one of the newer riverside blocks, a period cottage in Old Shoreham and a commercial unit near the port. The common thread is that each needs a slightly different plan, and knowing the town helps us get it right.

Waste clearance in Shoreham-by-Sea →

Southwick (BN42, BN41)

Southwick sits between Shoreham and Portslade, with the harbour on one side and the Downs on the other. It is a small place with a big village green at its heart, and it has a slightly different feel to its neighbours: older cottages around the Green, solid 1930s semis on the roads climbing towards Southwick Hill, and working harbour businesses along the coast road.

Waste clearance in Southwick →

Portslade (BN41)

Portslade sits at the western edge of Brighton & Hove, where the city meets Adur. It runs from the harbour and industrial units at Portslade-by-Sea, up through the terraces around Boundary Road and Station Road, past the old village and on to Mile Oak at the foot of the Downs. We clear properties in every part of it.

Waste clearance in Portslade →

Littlehampton (BN17)

Littlehampton is a proper seaside town with a working river running through it. On one side of the Arun you have the dunes of West Beach; on the other, the promenade, the Longest Bench and the East Beach Café. Behind the seafront there is a town full of Victorian terraces, riverside apartments, post-war estates in Wick and Toddington, and busy industrial units along the river.

Waste clearance in Littlehampton →

Rustington (BN16)

Rustington is one of the most popular places on the Sussex coast to retire to, and you can see why: level roads, a good village centre on The Street, well-kept bungalows and a quiet seafront. It also means that a large part of our work here involves downsizing, helping families clear a parent's home, and bringing overgrown gardens back under control.

Waste clearance in Rustington →

Angmering (BN16)

Angmering is a village of two halves. The old centre around The Square and St Margaret's Church is full of flint cottages and period houses inside a conservation area, while the surrounding estates, many of them newly built, have brought hundreds of new family homes to the edges of the village. Down by the sea, Angmering-on-Sea has larger detached houses on private roads.

Waste clearance in Angmering →

Brighton & Hove (BN1, BN2, BN3)

Brighton and Hove are a different challenge from the rest of our patch. The city is dense, hilly and busy, with Regency terraces split into flats, student houses in Hanover and Moulsecoomb, basement flats with steep area steps, and controlled parking zones across most of the centre. A clearance here needs planning as much as muscle.

Waste clearance in Brighton & Hove →

Chichester (PO19, PO18, PO20)

Chichester is the furthest west of our regular areas, around forty minutes from our Worthing base along the A27. We plan Chichester jobs into dedicated days, which means you get a booked slot with the right team and vehicle rather than a vague arrival window.

Jordan organized his crew to come and clear a mountain of rubbish from my back garden. A well overdue clearance all soggy and disintegrated and included a dead rat within..yuk. The lads did an amazing job. They were polite and courteous and worked flat out in the pouring rain. I can highly recommend them and will be using them again. I probably won't leave it so long next time though!

Quoted a good price for some hardcore removal after breaking up a pathway. A Star came and removed the waste the next day. The lads were polite and got the job done quickly. Highly recommend.
