The city is dense, hilly and busy, with Regency terraces split into flats, student houses in Hanover and Moulsecoomb, basement flats with steep area steps, and controlled parking zones across most of the centre. A clearance here needs planning as much as muscle.

01Much of central Brighton and Hove is made up of Regency and Victorian townhouses that have been converted into flats, often with four or five floors and no lift. Hanover and Elm Grove are packed with steep terraced streets, while Patcham, Withdean, Hangleton and Westdene are mainly inter-war and post-war semis and bungalows. Understanding the building is the key to pricing a Brighton clearance accurately.
02City gardens are usually small and reached through the house, and many of them are steep or terraced into the hillside. Out towards Patcham, Withdean and Rottingdean the gardens get larger, with mature hedges and trees. Garden clearances in the city mean carrying everything by hand through the property, which we do carefully.
03Brighton is a city of flats: top-floor conversions with narrow staircases, basement flats down steep outside steps, and modern blocks with lifts and concierge rules. We bring enough people to carry heavy items safely, dismantle furniture where needed, and protect common parts.
04Most of central Brighton and Hove is covered by controlled parking zones, and many streets are narrow, steep or one-way. We plan the loading point before we arrive, and in some cases we will ask you to arrange a visitor permit or parking suspension. 05Brighton has two universities and a huge private rented sector. Every summer, student houses in Hanover, Coldean, Moulsecoomb, Bevendean and elsewhere are left with broken furniture, mattresses and bags of rubbish. We work with landlords and letting agents to clear them fast so cleaners and contractors can get in before the new tenants arrive.

Jordan organized his crew to come and clear a mountain of rubbish from my back garden. A well overdue clearance all soggy and disintegrated and included a dead rat within..yuk.
