Shoreham-by-Sea is a working harbour town with a lot of variety packed into a small area. In a single week we might clear a garage on Buckingham Park, a flat in one of the newer riverside blocks, a period cottage in Old Shoreham and a commercial unit near the port. The common thread is that each needs a slightly different plan, and knowing the town helps us get it right.
We are fifteen minutes from Shoreham, so it is firmly within our regular patch. 01Shoreham's housing ranges from flint and brick cottages in Old Shoreham and around the high street to 1930s semis in Southlands and Buckingham Park, larger homes on the hillside towards Mill Hill and a lot of newer apartments along the riverside. Shoreham Beach has its own mix of modern detached homes, older chalets and bungalows built on the shingle spit.
02Gardens on Buckingham Park and the slopes towards Mill Hill are often terraced or sloping, which makes garden clearances harder work than they look. Shoreham Beach gardens are sandy and shingly, and wind-damaged fences and sheds are a common reason people call us.
03The riverside developments along the Adur and around the town centre are mostly apartment blocks with lifts, allocated parking and managing agents. We work within building rules, protect lift interiors and communal floors where required, and plan loading so that we do not block residents' access.
04The town centre has narrow streets, a one-way system and limited parking close to the older cottages. Shoreham Beach is reached over the footbridge or by road via the western end, and some beach roads are private or unmade. We check access at the quoting stage so the right size of van turns up.
05Shoreham has a busy rental market, especially flats near the station and along the river. We empty properties between tenancies, remove tenants' abandoned furniture once the landlord has confirmed it can go, and clear gardens so properties are ready to show.

Jordan organized his crew to come and clear a mountain of rubbish from my back garden. A well overdue clearance all soggy and disintegrated and included a dead rat within..yuk.
