Demolition & dismantling
Demolition & dismantling across Worthing and Sussex
We take down sheds, summerhouses, greenhouses, garden walls, decking and non-structural internal features, and remove every scrap of the waste.
Plenty of clearances start with something that needs taking down first: a rotten shed at the bottom of the garden, a summerhouse that has seen better days, a collapsing garden wall, a greenhouse with cracked panes, or old decking that has become a hazard. We dismantle it, break it down and take all of the waste away in the same visit.
Our demolition work is small-scale and non-structural. We work on garden buildings, boundary features and internal items such as kitchens, bathrooms and stud partitions. For anything involving structural walls, foundations or larger buildings, you need an engineer and a specialist demolition contractor, and we will tell you honestly if your job falls into that category.
Absolutely brilliant service, highly recommend. They saved me in a last minute fudge up and were an absolute delight, super quick job and great personalities, thanks lads

We have taken down and cleared everything from garden sheds to a beach hut on the shingle, working safely and tidily, and leaving the ground clear.

The detail
Sheds, summerhouses and outbuildings
Timber sheds and summerhouses are dismantled panel by panel, roof felt and glass are removed carefully, and the timber is separated for recycling where possible. We can also break up and remove concrete bases if you want the ground cleared completely.
Older sheds and garages sometimes have corrugated cement roof sheets. These can contain asbestos and must not be broken up. If you are unsure, tell us before we arrive and we will advise you on getting it checked.
Walls, fencing, decking and patios
We take down low garden walls, fencing, pergolas, decking and raised beds, and break up patios and paths. All of the rubble, timber and soil is removed. If the wall is a boundary or retaining wall, check with your neighbour and a structural professional first, as these can have legal and safety implications.
Clean rubble is taken for recycling into aggregate, and timber is recycled where possible.
Internal non-structural work
Inside the home, we remove old kitchens, bathrooms, fitted wardrobes, built-in cupboards, non-structural stud walls, flooring and ceilings, usually as preparation for a refit. Services must be isolated by qualified trades before we start.
For commercial premises, see our strip-outs page.

Responsible disposal
Waste goes to licensed facilities to be sorted and recycled where possible. Businesses get a waste transfer note.
What affects the price
Every job is quoted individually from photos. These are the factors that make the difference:
A small shed versus a large summerhouse.
Timber, glass, brick and concrete have different disposal costs.
Breaking up concrete adds time and weight.
Rear gardens with no side access take longer.
Clearing contents first adds volume.
How to prepare
- Empty sheds and outbuildings, or ask us to clear the contents too.
- Tell us about any cement roof sheets or materials you are unsure of.
- Disconnect any electricity supply to outbuildings using a qualified electrician.
- Check boundary features with your neighbour first.
- Tell us if you want concrete bases removed as well.
- Mark any plants or features that must be protected.
Responsible disposal
Where your waste goes
Timber is separated for recycling, metal frames are recycled, glass is handled safely, and rubble is taken for crushing into aggregate. Everything goes to licensed facilities.
Whoever takes your waste, check they are a registered waste carrier. Householders have a legal duty of care, and if waste you paid someone to remove is fly-tipped it can be traced back to you. We are licensed and insured, take every load to authorised facilities, and are always happy to show our credentials.

Fantastic service I highly recommend them, took a shed down yesterday rang them last night they were here first thing this morning to take it away along with other garden waste. Highly competitive rates but they don't cut corners. They swept and tidied up after themselves as well, I'll definitely use A Star in all my future jobs. Thank you.
Quoted a good price for some hardcore removal after breaking up a pathway. A Star came and removed the waste the next day. The lads were polite and got the job done quickly. Highly recommend.
A Star Waste Management did a great job clearing a big pile of old decking from my garden. They were efficient, reasonably priced and the men were polite and respectful, and were mindful not to damage any of my plants. Would definitely use their service again.

Jordan organized his crew to come and clear a mountain of rubbish from my back garden. A well overdue clearance all soggy and disintegrated and included a dead rat within..yuk. The lads did an amazing job. They were polite and courteous and worked flat out in the pouring rain. I can highly recommend them and will be using them again. I probably won't leave it so long next time though!
Saw one of there trucks driving through Worthing, called the number today. Sent a picture of what we needed clear. They came back straight away with a price and were able to pick it all up on the same day. Really friendly team and great service. Will definitely be using this company again.
