Residential builders waste
Residential builders waste in Worthing and across Sussex
For homeowners and the trades working on their homes: renovation waste collected fast, no skip required.
Home renovations create waste at every stage: stripped-out kitchens and bathrooms, knocked-through walls, old floorboards, plasterboard, tiles and packaging. We collect it from your home so that your project can keep moving.
Homeowners use us after DIY work or when their builder's price did not include waste removal. Builders use us to keep domestic sites clear without a skip taking up the drive or the road.
Absolutely brilliant service, highly recommend. They saved me in a last minute fudge up and were an absolute delight, super quick job and great personalities, thanks lads

Without a skip
Skips on the road need a permit, take up parking and attract other people's rubbish. With a van collection we load straight from where the waste is, and nothing is left behind.
We can collect once at the end or at regular stages through the project.

Advice
When your builder does not take the waste
Not every builder's quote includes waste removal, and some only take away what fits in their own van. If you are left with a pile of rubble, plasterboard and old fittings on the drive when the job finishes, we can collect it in a single visit and sweep up behind us.
Ask your builder to keep plasterboard separate and to stack waste near the drive. It makes the collection quicker, cleaner and cheaper.

Good to know
Typical renovation waste
Kitchens, bathrooms, extensions and loft conversions each create a different mix. Tell us what the project was, and we will know roughly what to expect.
Keeping plasterboard separate helps keep the price down.
Heavy waste and weight limits
Rubble, bricks, concrete, soil and tiles are heavy. A van reaches its legal weight limit long before it is full by volume, so heavy waste is priced differently from lighter mixed waste. If your job is mostly rubble, soil or hardcore, see our hardcore collection service.
Tell us roughly what the waste is made of when you send photos, and we will bring the right vehicle and give you an accurate price.

Responsible disposal
Waste goes to licensed facilities to be sorted and recycled where possible. Businesses get a waste transfer note.
What affects the price
We quote every job individually, usually from photos. The main factors are:
Rubble, concrete and soil are priced by weight as much as by volume.
Lighter mixed waste is priced by how much van space it uses.
Separated gypsum waste has its own disposal cost.
Waste that is bagged and stacked is quicker to load.
Regular collections for trades can be priced as a package.
How to prepare
- Stack waste in one area with clear access to the road or drive.
- Keep plasterboard separate from other waste if you can.
- Bag small rubble and tile waste to make loading quicker.
- Tell us roughly how much is rubble, soil or concrete, as it affects the price.
- Let us know about scaffolding, restricted parking or site rules.
- Flag anything you think might contain asbestos before we arrive.
Responsible disposal
Where your waste goes
Builders waste is separated into inert waste (rubble, brick, concrete and soil), gypsum (plasterboard), timber, metal and general waste, then taken to the appropriate licensed facilities. Inert waste is often crushed and reused as aggregate, timber is recycled where possible, and metal is recycled.
Whoever takes your waste, check they are a registered waste carrier. Householders have a legal duty of care, and if waste you paid someone to remove is fly-tipped it can be traced back to you. We are licensed and insured, take every load to authorised facilities, and are always happy to show our credentials.

Quoted a good price for some hardcore removal after breaking up a pathway. A Star came and removed the waste the next day. The lads were polite and got the job done quickly. Highly recommend.
A Star are absolutely brilliant. Turn up when they say they will, are professional, friendly and helpful. And stick to their very reasonable quotes and would certainly use them in the future. Thank you A Star.
Swift and efficient waste removal. Quick response from the team. Quoted the job from the photos I sent. They kept in communication with us, so we weren't hanging around. The guys worked quickly to clear the area, they were very professional. I highly recommend their service.
A Star Waste Management did a great job clearing a big pile of old decking from my garden. They were efficient, reasonably priced and the men were polite and respectful, and were mindful not to damage any of my plants. Would definitely use their service again.
Super helpful! I sent a message on WhatsApp on the weekend and got a reply the same day with a price. They came and collected 2 days later and all was left clean and tidy. Really efficient. Would highly recommend.
Such an amazing company! Communication was brilliant, the clean up was outstanding. Took everything little bit, was very pleased with the results. Also managed to fit me in very quickly which was a bonus! Will be using them again for sure! Thanks again guys.
