Shop & retail strip-outs
Shop & retail strip-outs in Worthing and across Sussex
Retail units stripped back quickly and tidily, ready for a refit, a new tenant or handover to the landlord.
A retail strip-out removes the fittings and finishes that made a shop yours: counters, shelving, gondolas, display units, signage, flooring, ceiling tiles and back-of-house fittings. We do it quickly, so that the unit can be refitted or handed back on time.
We work for independent retailers, franchisees, chains, shopfitters and landlords, and we can work outside trading hours to avoid disrupting neighbouring businesses.
We used this company for the first time today, very responsive to messages and hard working guys. Cleared all rubbish we requested to be removed and we highly recommend them to anyone wanting a fast service, very reasonable price which saved us paying more for a skip! Will definitely be using them again.

Refit or handover
If you are refitting, we remove the old fit-out ready for the shopfitters. If you are leaving, we strip the unit back to the condition your lease requires, helping to avoid a dilapidations claim.
Tell us the date the unit needs to be clear and any requirements from the landlord.

Advice
Planning around neighbouring businesses
Retail units often share walls, service corridors and bin stores with neighbours who are still trading. We plan noisy work and loading for quieter times, keep shared areas clear and tidy, and protect common floors where we carry fittings out.
In shopping centres and parades with management companies, there are usually rules about loading times and contractor registration. Let us know, and we will work within them.

Good to know
Stock and fittings
Unsold stock, packaging and old fittings are sorted for recycling where possible. Metal shelving and racking can often be recycled or reused.
A waste transfer note is provided for every job.
What a soft strip includes
A typical soft strip includes shelving, racking, counters and display fittings; stud partitions and suspended ceiling tiles; carpet, carpet tiles, vinyl and underlay; kitchens, toilets and basins; signage; and general waste and old stock. Structural elements, services and anything involving asbestos are outside the scope of a soft strip and need the appropriate specialists.
Before we start, we agree exactly what is being removed and what is staying, and we make sure utilities have been isolated where necessary.

Plasterboard and mixed waste have different disposal costs.
Out-of-hours work and restricted access take longer.
Larger strip-outs may run over several days.
How to prepare

- Label anything that is staying or being reused.
Responsible disposal
Where your waste goes
Strip-out waste is separated into metal, timber, plasterboard, cardboard, carpet and general waste, then taken to licensed facilities for recycling or disposal. A waste transfer note is provided for every commercial job.
Whoever takes your waste, check they are a registered waste carrier. Householders have a legal duty of care, and if waste you paid someone to remove is fly-tipped it can be traced back to you. We are licensed and insured, take every load to authorised facilities, and are always happy to show our credentials.

We have used this company a number of times. Very professional, I would highly recommend them. They are happy to go that extra mile with no hesitation.
Really good service. Competitive price and left the site clear. I liked the good communication e.g. pictures of the finished job as I couldn't be at home as I was working. Great job and I would use them again.
A Star Waste Management provided a prompt and straightforward service from start to finish. Communication was clear, collection was arranged at a convenient time, and the waste was removed efficiently with no mess left behind. Polite, professional, and easy to deal with.
A Star are absolutely brilliant. Turn up when they say they will, are professional, friendly and helpful. And stick to their very reasonable quotes and would certainly use them in the future. Thank you A Star.
Bit of a mix up with timings but once arrived the boys were quick, efficient and very thorough in their work. There was an awful lot of stuff in our garage that was not being used and we needed it clearing for selling our house.
Swift and efficient waste removal. Quick response from the team. Quoted the job from the photos I sent. They kept in communication with us, so we weren't hanging around. The guys worked quickly to clear the area, they were very professional. I highly recommend their service.
