Flat clearance
Flat clearance in Worthing and across Sussex
Studio to penthouse, ground floor to top floor: flats cleared safely, quietly and within the building rules.
Flat clearances are all about access. Stairs, small lifts, tight landings, communal hallways and parking restrictions all affect how long a job takes and how many people it needs. We plan for them in advance so the clearance runs smoothly and the building is left as we found it.
We clear flats for owners, families, landlords, letting agents and managing agents. That includes seafront apartments, converted period flats, retirement developments and student lets.
We have used this company a number of times. Very professional, I would highly recommend them. They are happy to go that extra mile with no hesitation.
A Star customer, Customer review
Working in shared buildings
Many blocks have rules on working hours, lift use and protecting communal areas. We follow them, protect lift interiors and walls where required, keep corridors clear, and are considerate to neighbours.
If the building has a concierge or managing agent, we are happy to liaise with them directly.

Advice
Flats with parking restrictions
Town centre and seafront flats often have no parking outside, controlled parking zones or a single loading bay shared by the whole block. We plan the loading point before the day, keep the van's time on the street as short as possible, and bring enough people so that items move quickly from the flat to the van.
If the building has a service entrance, goods lift or bin store route, tell us. It is usually the quickest and least disruptive way out, and managing agents prefer it.

Good to know
Upper floors without a lift
Top-floor flats with no lift are common in converted Victorian and Regency buildings. We bring enough people to carry heavy items safely and dismantle wardrobes and beds where needed to get them down narrow stairs.
Tell us the floor and the number of flights when you send photos, so we can quote accurately.
Downsizing and moving into care
When someone moves from a family home into a smaller property or a care home, only a fraction of their belongings go with them. We can clear the rest before or after the move, working around removal firms and family members. We are patient and friendly, and we will never rush an older customer into decisions they are not ready to make.
Good-quality furniture and household items can often be reused. Where possible we set these aside for reuse rather than sending them for disposal.

Send us photos
WhatsApp a few pictures of the waste and the route to the road, or call 01903 962 492. Tell us your postcode and when suits you.
Get a clear price
We reply with a fixed quote based on what we can see. No hidden extras, no pressure, and no obligation to book.
We load and sweep
Our team arrives on the agreed day, carries everything out, loads the van and sweeps up behind us.
Responsible disposal
Waste goes to licensed facilities to be sorted and recycled where possible. Businesses get a waste transfer note.
What affects the price
We quote every job individually, usually from photos. The main factors are:
The number of rooms and how full they are.
Furniture, electricals and sofas have different disposal costs.
Flats with stairs and long carries take longer than a bungalow with a drive.
Lofts, garages, sheds and gardens add to the volume.
We will always try to meet your deadline.
How to prepare
- Decide what is staying, going to family or being donated, and label it clearly.
- Remove valuables, jewellery, cash, keys and important documents.
- Check drawers, pockets, books and boxes for personal papers and photographs.
- Let us know if the property has been sold or let and when it needs to be empty.
- Tell us about access: stairs, lifts, parking and any building rules.
- Arrange keys with a neighbour, agent or solicitor if you cannot be there.
Responsible disposal
Where your waste goes
House clearance waste is sorted into reusable items, recyclable materials and general waste. Reusable furniture and household items are set aside where possible, recyclable materials go to the appropriate facilities, and the rest is taken to licensed waste transfer stations. Upholstered seating is kept separate for specialist disposal.
Whoever takes your waste, check they are a registered waste carrier. Householders have a legal duty of care, and if waste you paid someone to remove is fly-tipped it can be traced back to you. We are licensed and insured, take every load to authorised facilities, and are always happy to show our credentials.

Bit of a mix up with timings but once arrived the boys were quick, efficient and very thorough in their work. There was an awful lot of stuff in our garage that was not being used and we needed it clearing for selling our house.
